Jenkins Environmental Ltd was formed in 2003 by Managing Director Roy Jenkins and the business has now been very successful carrying out Asbestos surveys and we pride ourselves by conducting a quality and professional consulting service.
Asbestos is responsible for more cancer deaths than all other known occupational hazards combined. There is now over 1200 Mesothelioma each year in Britain most of which are due to asbestos exposure. The scientific evidence on exactly what exposure causes disease is unclear, but we do know the more asbestos fibres breathed in the greater the risk to health. That is why it is important that asbestos related materials are identified and that everyone who works with them should take appropriate precautions.
The Control of Asbestos at Work Regulations (CAWR) 2002 which came into force 21st May 2004 is to reduce asbestos related fatalities over the next 50 years.
